Welcome

Welcome to Kids Make Theatre (KMT)! We are a year-round youth theatre education program for ages 3.5-18, located in beautiful Astoria, Oregon, at the historic Liberty Theatre. As the first program of its kind on the North Coast, KMT offers a dynamic mix of classes, camps, workshops, sharings, and performances in our state-of-the-art student-sized Lab black box theatre.

Our programs invite students to engage with the dynamic world of theatre, exploring creative drama, design, technical skills, and collaborative storytelling. Through hands-on activities and imaginative exploration, students develop creativity, confidence, and teamwork while discovering the many ways theatre brings stories to life.

Founded in 2023 with an initial gift from Mike and Laura Brosius, KMT was created to bring the Liberty Theatre’s vision of a youth theatre program to life under the leadership of Program Director Hilary Adams.

Thanks to a generous supporter, all programs are offered at an affordable $5-$15, with scholarships available to ensure accessibility for all. Join our vibrant theatre community and discover how creativity and imagination can inspire a lifelong love of learning.
